How do I turn off the end of support banner in office 2010 permanently? (Office 2010, Windows)

Hi, 

I have a home and student edition of office 2010 that I am perfectly comfortable with. Every time I open the office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), MS helpfully points out that support is ending and that I should upgrade to a newer version. Screenshot attached. 

I would like an exit from this persistent nagging and quasi privacy nightmare. Some regedit skills are in place and I can follow instructions when clearly given, even if they are complex in nature.

    I'm still monitoring this question. I haven't seen anything I needed to comment on for a while.

    Setting the timetonextcall in the future has worked, so far, for me. I have not yet seen the message again.  I made the change in all 3 #:en keys in my registry. I'm waiting to see if a fourth one shows up ...

    I guess Rohn007 and others are no longer interested in this thread. Anyway, I'm documenting all this for my own reference. Today I opened a Powerpoint document that I downloaded from my email and sure enough another subkey was added to TargetedMessagingService in HKCU. And when I opened the document I got the message:

    The new subkey skipped "2:en"  and went to "3:en". So I did a rinse and repeat on that subkey: changed TimeToNextcall in Header to year 2025 and changed MessageScenario value in Body to 0.

    I'm guessing the 2 keys that are in my registry ( "0:en-us" and "1:en-us") are for Excel and Word since those are the only products I use. Perhaps those who use Powerpoint, Accesss, etc would have more keys?

    The first part of my previous reply.

    By default the 2 or 3 keys all display the same message. I'm curious to see which key is being use to display the message, if they show up again.  So I added text to the title text being displayed so I can uniquely identify where the message is coming from.

    Your second question. I don't know. When it comes to privacy, MS tends to ignore settings when it comes to their own SPAM. You can try it, but I don't expect it to work the way you think.
