I have this message appearing on my iPad every 20 seconds or so.  I use an Office365 exchange account to sync email, contacts and calendar onto the iPad and also use Onedrive for storage along with Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.

I have had periods of tim when this error message appears, but usually only for 24 hours max.  If it is for a prolonged period, I found that deleting the Exchange account from the iPad and setting it up again often cured the problem.

This time it has been going on for weeks, with no let-up.  I have deleted and set the account up again twice, to no avail.  Please help it's driving me bonkers.

    Jeff IS THE MAN! Did the above and it worked with no issues! My main Office 365 account is nos configured and working on my iPhone. Now trying to figure out the IMAP settings for shared/alias inboxes as those are not working with the same settings.

    Yes, this may help some users. Unfortunately, I have to have the shared/alias boxes working, and they were a pain to set up, so I still need a Microsoft fix/solution ASAP.

    Cannot Verify Server Identity. The identity of "imap.gmail.com cannot be verified by Mail."  

    Happening this whole week on iphone and ipad. Deleted mail app and still happening.

    suggestion for turning off ssl seems like an unsecured solution.  Why is this suddenly happening? Is iton the Microsoft side or Apple side?

    My issue was with an Office 365 email account in my iPhone. I also have a Hotmail account configured and that is not a problem. I ended up deleting the Office 365 account on my phone, installing the Outlook ios app, adding the accou there, and have had no issues since. Not ideal as i dont want a separate app, i want all email back on my native ios mail app.

    For those posting that they did some type of intervention today, please try it again.  I did nothing, and for about 6 hours today, this Mail Certificate error went away and things resumed working normally...until now.  It's back!  So for those who did something during the time that it was not a problem, I'm afraid your "fix" just happened to be instituted during the period of time when the issue temporarily resolved.   Back to the drawing board and waiting for the powers that be, to fix this!
