I'm a student that uses OneNote for Windows 10 with my digital pen to write class notes/study and I've recently noticed that the entire computer would freeze after some use. Here are some notes regarding my situation: This issue happens only when I am drawing with my digital pen. Ive never encountered this issue when using OneNote by itself- it only happens when I am using it to draw while watching a Youtube video or if I use it during a conference call (I have a dual-monitor setup) When it freezes, I am unable to Ctrl + Alt + Delete to reach task manager. I need to manually shut the computer down by holding down the power button. If I was watching a Youtube Video or calling someone and my computer freezes, the audio will continue to run and the person on the other side will be able to hear me until about 2 minutes later when that goes away too. This problem doesn't exist in OneNote 2016. The computer freezes about 15 minutes into working on it. I don't know if this helps, but I have a Lenovo Flex 14 (AMD) and use it with the Lenovo Active Pen 2. Thank you!

Have you tried to enable the tablet mode on Windows? this is a workaround for me, but it's not a real solution. I need to use the pc on standard mode

same problem here I have a Dell Inspiron 14 (intel i7 11th, mx330 Nvidia) If I watch a video in the background (youtube, streams, etc.) and at the same time I use OneNote in full screen (no tablet mode) the pc completely crash After all freeze, I also notice this error on Event Viewer "A pointing device has no information about the monitor it is connected to."

Hey, I'm using the Onenote app (not OneNote for windows 10). I have an Asus Zephyrus G14 laptop with 8 GB RAM and AMD Ryzen 5 4600HS processor. From what I have seen most people are having an issue while using the digital pad. I am having a different issue. I watch the recorded lectures on youtube while using Onenote in "Dock to Desktop" mode. And when I start typing something, the complete laptop freezes. The cursor disappears and I can do nothing but hard shut down. This problem started only yesterday (04 Jan 2021) and everything was fine before that. Please help if any solution comes up. Thank you.

The same problem persists with Windows Whiteboard. And this seems to be a problem with laptops or PCs with AMD processors.

Have you tried to enable the tablet mode on Windows?
