Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Hello,

I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:

'Camera upload must be enabled ...'

The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.

Or am I missing something here ...?

I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.

Thanks!

There is no "Camera Upload" option in One Drive. It only says Gallery Sync.

This seems to have started after Samsung switched their online storage to OneDrive.  If you go to the settings in the Gallery app, you will notice that "Sync with OneDrive" is enabled.  It however doesn't seem to work. I have an S9 and the switch happened sometime in May.  My photos haven't been synced since.  This article suggests some troubleshooting steps but I still can't get photos and videos in my gallery to sync using the Gallery app.  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/samsung-gallery-and-onedrive-99c4e77b-8e63-4ddc-aede-19f81acee1a3

Unfortunately, you cannot simply disable Gallery syncing by toggling the setting.  You must disconnect your Samsung account from OneDrive using the steps in the above article.  After disconnecting, go back into the OneDrive app and re-enable Camera upload.

I cannot enable it too. The "Camera Upload" button is gray and I cannot turn it on.

Had the same issue on Samsung S10 and solved it.

Turned off sync photos via the Samsung account.

The same issue that OneDrive setting is greyed out and doesn't turn on.

    Went to Settings>Accounts and backup>Accounts

Select your OneDrive account and turn on Media Sync. That seemed to turn on photo sync in the OneDrive app.

I eventually had to sign out of OneDrive and then back in. Once I did the option finally appeared. I also ended up removing the Samsung account from my phone. I don't know if that helped or not.
