SharePoint Republish Button Disappearing

Recently, when I click the Edit button to go into Editing mode in SharePoint Online, the Republish button doesn't display where it used to. In order to get it to show back up I have to refresh the page.

  1. Click Edit button.

  1. Republish button missing.

  1. Refresh the page. This popup keeps reappearing no matter how many times I close it out.

  1. After closing the pop-up, the Republish button has returned.

  1. Clicking the Republish button puts me back at Step 1. I have to go through this process every time I want to Republish any page.

As you can see, this quickly becomes annoying. Please help!

    Since we're not getting any response here, I would submit a service request and be sure to note that you'll be filing for a refund for the period this hasn't worked.

    I have done this. I have refreshed and I have come back to the pages a day or two later. I am still having the same issue. 

    Now, I can save as a draft, refresh the page, and the "Republish" button comes back. But, then it will disappear again a day or two later.

    Hello mlewis,

    Yes, you are correct. All the editing I have done the last 2 days were creating new pages. I just performed the task that you requested and the problem still persists. Thank you for acknowledging that particular process for me. I will still continue to monitor and if I see any changes, I will give an update.

    Thanks for your comments. Give this a try: Republish your page and then go and make a change again, see if the problem returns. This has been my problem. The first time work but each time after that it doesn't . Maybe refreshing the page each time before clicking on Edit, might solve this problem.

    For the past 2 days, it appears that my editing environment is back to normal. The "Republish" button now appears every time I click the "Edit" button to edit my modern page. I will keep an eye on this and report if the original issue occurs again.
