Sharing Violations

Since installing Catalina 10.15 and Office 365 16.30 (updates installed the same day (something I will not due again)) when I attempt to save a workbook that I have used for a couple of years, I receive the alert: 'Your changes could not be saved  to xxx.xlsx due to a sharing violation.  I then receive the alert The file format end extension of 646820000.mactf don't match. 

I contacted the Answer Desk who say it is an Apple Product and Apple support said it is a Microsoft problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

    The problem has not been resolved.  The same errors are displayed after a few changes to the workbook.  Version 16.29 is stable.

    I've attached the messages agin.  FYI: I also performed a Safe Boot and no difference.

    Hi jacsdad,

    Sorry to hear about that and when we tested at our end in the latest version 16.32, we didn't encounter any error message while saving the Excel workbook. So, you can give a try updating the Office applications and check the outcome.

    Does anyone know if the issue of Sharing Violations been has been fixed with the latest update?  I called Microsoft this afternoon and aske but they could not provide an answer.  Additionally, the said that the ticket SRX14*****7ID (the ticket I opened on 10/29/2019 for this issue) was resolved 10/31/2019, but it was not.

    I don't want to install 16.32 for Excel if it hasen't.

    You can check this article: Update history for Office for Mac and click on Install Package under the section Release history for Office for Mac to install the previous version.
