Excel printing and display scaling bug

Office 365 x64 ver 1709 (Build 8431.2236 click-torun)

When printing with Excel, the page layout is being affected by display scaling.  I had it set at 125%.  A spreadsheet that normally prints to 6 pages is trying to print to 9 or 10 pages.  Adjusting the page size in "page break view" does not fix the problem.  This is with the setting, "fit all columns on one page".  If you simply reduce the *print* scaling (by a percentage, instead) until it print on only 6 pages, the sheet appears more narrow than it normally does.

If you simply set the display scaling back to 100%, it fixes the problem.  Display scaling should only change what I see, not how it prints.

Furthermore, checking the box under excel shortcut:  "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" does NOT disable the display scaling for excel like it should.  I had to completely shut it off under display settings to resolve the problem.

Edit:  Added *print* to the scaling option I was referring to.   Please note display scaling setting is in windows and print scaling is in excel.

    My company is having the same issue but with 2 separate in-house applications.

    When the screen scaling is set to 100%, it prints out full page.

    When the screen scaling is set to 125%, it prints out with some whitespace on the right and bottom (I guess 80% of the page)

    When the screen scaling is set to 150% is prints out with a lot of whitespace (maybe 67% of the page).

    This is on Panasonic Toughbook CF-54s running Windows 10 Enterprise 17763.

    Interestingly, I have not been able to replicate the printing issue with Excel.

    MatthewMPW, just stumbled on your post here, I had the exact same problem with an excel spreadsheet. Scaling was set correctly, print preview looked correct, but no matter what copier my customer printed to in the city (municipal IT here), it would print a single enlarged portion of the spreadsheet.

    A colleague and I found the issue for us was the DPI settings, which should not act like this, but sure enough, changing from 1200 to 600 DPI resolved the issue. Obviously there's other factors in play here, but I figured I'd put my $0.02 in, especially since you're having suggestions that do not pertain to the issue at hand.

    We had everyone on Windows 7 and had to pull everyone down to Medium scaling to make sure we replicated everything to a T.  Now with Windows 10, the scaling is not exactly the same which makes this an oh so fun project that I am not looking forward to.

    Have the same issue in Win 10 Pro Excel 2016. Setting scaling to 100% has not fixed unfortunately.
