AUTOCORRECT-ONENOTE: FOR GODS SAKE PROVIDE AN OPTION TO TURN IT OFF!!

Why, why was OneNote released without an option to turn autocorrect off?! This problem is now old enough, how was this not fixed? You essentially made OneNote completely useless, since it auto-"corrects" everything you want to type into something wrong. Why was this option removed from the new Versions of OneNote? How does it come that its not fixed by now?

    Yes. I realized that OneNote would change “were” to “where” even though “were” makes more sense in the sentence while “where” did not make sense at all. No matter how I retyped the word, OneNote kept changing the correct word to the wrong one. Furthermore, when Microsoft apps auto-correct words, there will be a small auto-correct shown beneath the changed word. However, there was no sign of this button when OneNote changed “were” to “where.” I really hope that Microsoft can provide us with an option to turn this frustrating auto-“correction” off.

    Hello! I found a workaround: 

    Deactivate the autocorrect (LIKE EVERYTHING) on the online version of OneNote. It will update your app settings and voila! It does not autocorrect anymore. :D

    My issue is the autocorrect also operates in Draw. I draw a math symbol, and an autocorrect changes it to some geometric form.

    All advice so far is about spelling autocorrect. On my Ipad, how do I turn on autocorrect on drawing? Nothing explained above, or anywhere, helps.

    Was adding some items to autocorrect in one note and read this, Curious if you could solve the main complaint but adding the entries you don't change with the same value for the autocorrect so it doesn't get changed. Just tried with thta which changed to that. I added thta and had it set to auto correct to thta and it stopped making a change.
