OneDrive crashes and deletes itself

Lets try to completely uninstall OneDrive:

1. Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode: Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and select Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Type in taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe to terminate any OneDrive processes and hit Enter.

Then type in either %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 64-bit Windows 10 and hit Enter.

After that Go to RegEdit on this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive

You can remove all folders that include One Drive version

Account folders also can be removed

After that restart the pc and install One Drive again

Yes - been through the crash/remove/reinstall cycle 3 times now.

So now you have installed it, but the issue still? Is that correct?

Hi - thanks for the advice... I found this tip on the web and have already tried it - but it comes back with the error message the exe file doesn't exist.

Having browsed to the folder and I agree it doesn't seem to be there.  Now I've resinstalled it it is there.. but I've never come across this sort of behaviour before  - where the crashed program deletes itself.

More help needed please!!

Lets try to reset Onedrive to see hownit works after

1. Press the Windows key + R.

In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

After 2 or 3 minutes OneDrive should start by itself, sometimes does not open.

In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe
