Error- the name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag

Hi, never really posted in one of these things before I this is sort of an emergency, I have an important document due in a few days for uni and all was going good until I encounter the error 'the name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag' which is preventing me from opening my document.

Naturally when I encounter this error I googled and attempted many fixes and have been attempting to edit the document.xml file for around 4 hours now to no avail.

I would greatly appreciate some help in how to overcome this error, I've linked a google drive folder with both the entire word document as a .rar file and the document.xml file as well as a screenshot of the error below.

I really don't know how to use this site but any help would be appreciated tremendously due to the importance of me resolving this error quickly.

Thanks in advnaced for any help anyone can offer

:)

Note, my comment about the installation of a Service Pack was specific to my response to MichaelFahim and the cause of the corruption in his document.

It is NOT applicable to your document.

I appreciate the information passed on to prevent the issue from reoccurring.  We were not able to download the SP1 for the Professional Plus 2013 and we were not able to confirm it was downloaded with the updates initiated after the failure.  Our IT dept. uninstalled that version and installed Office 365.  Has the fix been implemented in Office 365?

Thank you very much, document restored perfectly and has been downloaded.

Our Doc control dept. instructed us to use the shapes insert box to keep the arrows, boxes etc always in line with the images and for the caption control.  Under what circumstances would you use the boxes.  Is there another option that allows that type of flexibility?
