My frequent sites never changes.  It is only showing 3 sites and they are sites I haven't visited in several months.  How do I get this to update with actual frequently visited sites?

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, it may be difficult for members and us to follow up separately. Besides, the original poster Stacey has resolved the issue, and we have also received feedback from other members that the issue has been resolved itself. This thread will be closed from further posting for affected users to easily identify the information since there may be different root causes for different tenants.

You can follow the steps I mentioned in the summary above to try troubleshooting the issue.

  1. Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.
  2. After you manually delete the deleted sites, please wait for 30 days and check if the situation remains.

If the issue persists, please feel free to post a new thread in this forum, we are more than willing to help you resolve it separately.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Yoga

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, I would like to post a summary of the issue here so that other community members can easily see the information.

Issue description:

Deleted sites still display in Frequent sites list on the SharePoint home page.

Additional information:

We would like to suggest you follow the steps below to try troubleshooting the issue:

  1. Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.

Suggestion:

If the issue persists after you manually delete the sites for 30 days, since there may be different root causes for different tenants, please feel free to post back and let us know. We will collect the related tenant information, so that we can check more details and help you resolve the issue separately.

    Alan,

The response you got is a little disingenuous considering Msft promised this would be fixed globally.  For every tenant they claim it's been fixed, I can point to several where it's still a problem. So the question is: was it fixed or not? If it was, when was your tenant fixed? The onus is on Msft to provide the information - you shouldn't have to invest any more resources in resolving issues they acknowledge they caused. In reality Msft has a contractual obligation to provide the service you're paying for, so you could file for an SLA refund until they fix it. Enough with all this "we're sorry, we need more information to fix what we broke" nonsense. This isn't how a professional co behaves and I'm tired of it. Until people start complaining (or demand refunds) they'll just keep offering a substandard product and ignoring their customers.

    Hi SL57& JCParker500,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issue and totally understand your frustration about encountering it.

As I mentioned above, we are keeping improving our product and I have get updated replies from different users that the issue is solved in their tenants from the backend. Since you are still encountering the issue, we are more than willing to help you resolve it from the backend separately. In this case, we need to collect related tenant information, so that we can better check it and try our best to help resolve it. To protect your privacy, I have sent you a private message for the information, you can access it via this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox

    Regards,

    Yoga

Solving the issue from the backend would, presumably, require admin rights on the office 365 tenant? So, as an end user at a company without admin rights and experiencing this same issue what is the plan to fix this? Not sure the small IT department we have will have the bandwidth necessary to have someone work on this.
