Simply download the download manager from the Play Store. You will then see all your downloads in this app. Then long press the file you are trying to delete. Then tap the garbage can at the top. File deleted.
I have the same problem. Does anyone of you know how to fix this? It is really annoying. I have sensitive files on my phone, I do not know where (I cannot find the data using Explorer), I cannot delete as well.
I did not create the files. They were Word documents attached to emails sent to me by other people.
