Change the sharepoint.aspx page

If you click the "sharepoint" tile in the app launcher, you are now taken to _layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx.

This page is an embarassment so how do I edit/change it?

The "you visited" information shown is rubbish - it's completely inaccurate, out of date and of no use whatsoever to a user. Where is the data pulled from and why does Msft think anyone would want to see this?

We understand admins may have requirements to custom the SharePoint home page or directly change it to the page you want. As we discussed above, the best way to influence our products and services is to submit your feedback via SharePoint Online Uservoice. It will let our related team hear your voice. Many good features are added from customers' good suggestions.

As a workaround, you may create a custom tile. So, users can directly access the SharePoint Online page which is customized by you.

They split it off into a private thread so I could post my trace logs etc. Not because they were ignoring the issue. Here is the latest response I have gotten from Microsoft directly... This response was emailed to me yesterday 3/8/18.

No, private messages are completely different from forum threads. You'll notice once 2 or 3 people report the same problem they split it to another thread citing that the "root cause might be different". That's what has happened several times in this thread. Since by their own admission, they don't know what the "root cause" is yet, giving that as a reason is a bit disingenuous. The fact of the matter is I reported this bug more than a year ago and they are only now even acknowledging it as such. Repeated request for them to explain what drives the process were indeed ignored.

Hi Stacey, I would like to share a summary of the case here, which may be beneficial for other community members. Description Frequent sites cannot display correctly on the SharePoint home page. There are three sites keep displaying on the SharePoint home page, which the user hasn't visited in several months. Two of them was deleted several months ago. Root Cause We find that these sites on the SharePoint home page have orphaned copies in the Office Graph. Solution The related team is currently in the process of implementing tech and will ensure consistency for affected tenants. The ETA for rollout of this tech is end of April. Regards, Yoga

Splitting threads out and ignoring this issue is not going to make it go away.

This page is still considered a joke at my company:

Following - I have never followed any of the sites that display (some I don't even have permission to access)

Recent - Still woefully inaccurate and out of date

ARE THERE ANY UPDATES? IS ANYTHING BEING DONE TO RESOLVE THIS?
