Stop the "don't lose access to your account" nonsense.

I'm prevented from logging in by a "set it up now" button on the generic log in page (using IE10). Like any security conscious enterprise, my company manages my passwords and isn't interested in this "nanny state" option. How do I bypass it?

    Chee - Why are you even posting info about "global admins"?  That was NEVER mentioned in any of the threads I've seen. Just turn this **** off - really, how hard could that be???????

    I see that Microsoft's listening skills have not improved over the years. We do not want to HAVE to use personal phone numbers and email addresses to confirm access to a Business account. It adds a very unnecessary layer of security problem with our accounts. Also, for phone verification, we use all extensions here. Your verification does not allow for phone extenstions so we can't use it to verify anything. How is taking away the ability to control global admin account password access from the company and giving it to individuals a "Best Practice"?

    It's an ill conceived idea that wasn't thought through properly. It's also low hanging fruit in Msft's efforts to defend its much maligned product.

    Hi James,

    I'm an admin and half (strangely) our company gets the "Add information to your account so you don’t lose access if you ever forget your password" - message, too.

    If you found a workaround/solution please let me know too

    giving the account a phone number has not proven to be working for us
