Thanks Rakesh for pointing this out. I thought I was going mad! I have the same problem, but with Surface Book running Onenote 2016.

Hi,
I just upgraded to Office 2016 via the Office 365 subscription. Working on a Surface Pro 3 and Windows 10. I am mostly using OneNote 2016 to take handwritten notes using the Surface Pen.
The disappearing ink issue, (that was a problem in the OneNote 2013 edition, until it was fixed), seems to be back: parts of written stuff disappear. I was writing in OneNote 2016, and out of nowhere, parts of what I had written earlier disappeared. Though the issue is not as severe as it was earlier, when the disappearing was very frequent.
This needs to be fixed ASAP, it renders OneNote not very useful for note-taking!

Hi,
This note disappearing thing has been going on for a few weeks now and I've lost plenty of notes....using this to work on math problems/studying. I actually had a different computer that just didn't let me take pen notes very well, so I got myself a surface pro 3 i7..... I got this bad boy primarily for the note taking .... I am having some buyer's remorse.
I'm running windows 10 and using office 2016
Please fix as I do love Microsoft products...when they work.
Best,
Thanh
I currently experienced the same issue today of the disappearing ink. I sat through 7 hours of lectures to find that my notes where very incomplete with many things that I wrote not there.
I am currently running the lastest version of OneNote 2016 x64 16.0.6001.1034 on a Surface Pro 4 i5 / 4gb RAM.
Not what I would of expected, I did not have the hand written recognition turned off as I wasn't aware of the issue.
I have now been using OneNote 2016 with the updates and the "turn-off" instruction for text recognition - and so-far no issues - although I remain nervous. Thanks Mavis.
I have this problem occurring several times when I was making my notes!
It is annoying! I have to rewrite my notes time and time again, also, I lost some important notes when what I took in class.
