Pictures not showing in printed versions of reports (or in print previews)

Hi all,

I have an access acce that i run on two different machines, one of which is in windows 10 /Office 2016, the other one is in Windows 10 / Office 2010. My Acces prints out perfectly on the 2010 version of Access and no image is coming our on the 2016 version on Office (the same Accde was printing perfectly as i had Access 2013 before the weekend) now no image is coming out on the print.

If I look on screen at the report, pictures are there, as soon as I get onto the print preview, images are gone !

This is probably a new feature of access 2016 that I am not aware of !

Can anybody help me ?

Patrick, I fully understand the affect this has had. And I couldn't agree more that a way of going back should have been made available. But it doesn't really matter how specific the issue is, a fix needed to be found, tested and then implemented within the rollout cycle. As I understand it a potential fix was identified late in October. And the testing made it miss the November cycle. Hence the December release.

    I humbly suggest many companies are suffering with this problem and if a solution has been found - Microsoft could have posted a patch that resolves it for people who find themselves with a critical situation.  Actually I love MS and am only chiding them for failing to resolve this for those in need quickly.  I save my best 'bad mouthing' for Apple's overpriced expensively dressed junk.  I do feel MS has lost its way for several years - Windows 8 proved that it was no longer in touch with its core users.  Windows 10 is a vastly improved product - but still works better in a business environment with a third party front end (Start10).

    If you feel I have been too ugly with poor little MS - your losing perspective - which is what you accused me of Scott! Thanks for all you and other MVP's do when there are problems.  MS Technical support has shown it has vast resources to help people (me too) when they want to - and they could here too with a quick release of the patch.

    To those who like me - have trusted Access for essential corporate activities (I use an Access program for most of my accounts receivable billing and data storage) - this is a major issue.  I trusted Microsoft Access in office 2003 and have never looked back.  I have resolved my problem - it required a MS Access professional rewriting my software to embed all my images in my database - but he wrote my programs so he was relatively inexpensive.  (under $500.00)

    But I had no choice other than to uninstall Office 16 and reinstall the older version of Office (while hoping it would still be compatible with my PST files) so I elected to spend the money to rewrite my application.  The other alternative would have been to not invoice anyone until MS got it fixed - not my best alternative. 

    But I do know, despite how many it HAS affected, the numbers are small overall.  I used to be a beta tester for MS - but have had to forgo that fun as my business has gotten a bit overwhelming.  I can't help but feel that MS made a lot of us beta testers with this roll out.  Windows 10 has a feature that allows you to go back if for any reason your not satisfied or have a problem you can not overcome - a serious suggestion to MS would be to do this with all of their software going forward.  It would breed more good will and save people from unexpected program errors.

    I still think this is an easy fix for MS - since it is only with linked images, and embedded ones work fine.  But I COULD NOT wait for a fix which may or may not be in December.

    Excuse me? Comments have been made right up to yesterday. And the status of the fix was posted last week. It should be in the December fixes.

    This post is over 30+ days old and I see no comments since, BUT.... I am experiencing this same issue on two different devices, both of which are running windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016.

    Please advise as to status of fix?
