Pictures not showing in printed versions of reports (or in print previews)

Hi all,

I have an access acce that i run on two different machines, one of which is in windows 10 /Office 2016, the other one is in Windows 10 / Office 2010. My Acces prints out perfectly on the 2010 version of Access and no image is coming our on the 2016 version on Office (the same Accde was printing perfectly as i had Access 2013 before the weekend) now no image is coming out on the print.

If I look on screen at the report, pictures are there, as soon as I get onto the print preview, images are gone !

This is probably a new feature of access 2016 that I am not aware of !

Can anybody help me ?

Patrick, I fully understand the affect this has had. And I couldn't agree more that a way of going back should have been made available. But it doesn't really matter how specific the issue is, a fix needed to be found, tested and then implemented within the rollout cycle. As I understand it a potential fix was identified late in October. And the testing made it miss the November cycle. Hence the December release.

    I hope the fix comes out in the December update.

    I loaded MS Office 2016 last week and I have the same issues with reports.  My pictures in forms are working and they have a slightly different set image property, but I can't get a preview of a report with any pictures that are linked nor will I get pictures when printed.

    On databases where I added embedded pictures in the table, the reports come out fine, but of course my database is huge.

    I don't know why the zoom feature works in the forms and not in the reports.  Stretch does work in reports as noted by others.

    I'll do some more testing and advise if I can get a report to work on zoom.

    I have the same issues whether on WIN 8.1 or WIN 10.

    MS should really do more quality control before releasing a product to the public.

    The latest WIN 10 update states AMD 64 update, but it was released for all computers with WIN 10.

    Patrick, you said you are not  software engineer. So how can you say it is an easy fix? You seem to have no comprehension of what can be involved in fixing this. But the bottom line is a fix has been found and will be released with the December patches.

    So how you can say MS doesn't want to deal with this I can't fathom. I do understand your frustration, but bad mouthing MS as you have been doing does no one any good.

    Problem is only with linked images.  Simple for MS to fix.  Sorry if I misunderstood who MVP are - but is still an easy fix for MS if they want to fix it.  I redid all images in my Access to EMBEDDED and now works perfect with no changes in image type.

    ONLY EMBEDDED IMAGES WORK.  Linked images function is damaged until MS gets around to fixing it.  I got my ACCESS working by going back and embedding every image into my data file.
