Hey all, SO, I am not a novice user by any means, and upgrade with each new Professional Office version. Since I upgraded to 2016, my envelopes will no longer print properly. When I feed them through, I get the address at the top of the envelope and the return address is cut off. If i print to a regular size piece of paper, it prints all the way to the left of the sheet. I have tried changing the alignment and changing back, manually designing a custom envelope size, I have uninstalled my printer and reinstalled, I have uninstalled office and reinstalled. Nothing is working. It's almost like there is a glitch that won't line the envelope up properly. It was working a few weeks ago the last one I printed before I upgraded. My temporary workaround is to go to my desktop and print from there as that still has word 2013. But that is not my main computer and is a real pain in the **** to do.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? Microsoft only tells me that as I was able to install it, I can pay them $99.00 USD (As I am Canadian, this currently converts into approx $140) to fix the issue that they caused, after I paid for the software. That is just as bad as the computer hijackers they have these days. I'll hijack your computer and make you pay to get it back. Ridiculous.

Try modifying the way in which Word is expecting the envelope to be fed into the printer via the Mailings tab>Envelopes>Options>Printing Options

I was having the same problem as well and realized that the fix is to actually change the printing settings for your printer.
Go to your Printing Preferrences and change the "scaling" setting under the Advanced Settings. I had recently changed mine to "Fit to Paper Size" which caused this problem so I changed it back to "Off" which fixed the problem.
Click on the Options button on the Envelopes tab of the Envelopes and Labels dialog and then go to the Printing Options tab and change the Feed method. It sounds like you need to select the Center position

Until the upgrade 16.0.6568.2025 to Office 365 last week I was able to print envelopes that are attached to documents by placing the cursor anywhere within the envelope text and specifying printing the current page. After that upgrade, I can only get the envelope to print with the proper envelope layout by selecting all of the envelope text, and printing the selection. If I try the original method only the recipient's address prints perpendicular the envelope. I tried all the suggestions on the pages starting at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2016-word/cant-print-envelopes-in-word-2016/dad9bd27-0aca-428e-b0b3-82e6058f047e?page=1 and none were successful. In fact, my computer wouldn't accept the changes you suggested and restored the defaults in every case. This is not a problem with the printer, an Epson-850 series that I purchased at the end of 2014, as it worked perfectly until Microsoft upgraded Office 365. By the way, yesterday I downloaded the latest Epson driver for my printer and it didn't change the way it printed envelopes. Just today I installed another Office 365 update, 16.0.6568.2036 and it did not correct the problem. I can use the work-around that I discovered, but I think that Microsoft should fix the problem which the upgrades caused me and the rest of the customers who reported their various problems. When a printer works correctly until a Microsoft update is installed I think that the source of the problem is clear.
Ha ha. I like where your mind is going, unfortunately, mine already went there. I have a smart printer and have to adjust the feed guides to ensure it feeds straight. When I do as you suggested, my printer recognizes that I am feeding an envelope in the centre and overrides it to centre feed, which prints the to address at the top or the envelope, leaving out the return address. When I tried and kept the feed guides the same size as a full sheet of paper, it recognizes that the envelope is in the wrong spot and changes it to a right feed setting. The ONLY way I can get it printing properly in any position is to tape the envelope to a sheet of paper on the far left and set the feed alignment to centre. However, this is not a solution, is very time consuming and wrecks my envelopes and wastes tape.
