Word 2016 envelope not printing to centre alignment

Hey all, SO, I am not a novice user by any means, and upgrade with each new Professional Office version.  Since I upgraded to 2016, my envelopes will no longer print properly.  When I feed them through, I get the address at the top of the envelope and the return address is cut off.  If i print to a regular size piece of paper, it prints all the way to the left of the sheet.  I have tried changing the alignment and changing back, manually designing a custom envelope size, I have uninstalled my printer and reinstalled, I have uninstalled office and reinstalled.  Nothing is working.  It's almost like there is a glitch that won't line the envelope up properly.  It was working a few weeks ago the last one I printed before I upgraded.  My temporary workaround is to go to my desktop and print from there as that still has word 2013.  But that is not my main computer and is a real pain in the **** to do. 

Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix?  Microsoft only tells me that as I was able to install it, I can pay them $99.00 USD (As I am Canadian, this currently converts into approx $140) to fix the issue that they caused, after I paid for the software.  That is just as bad as the computer hijackers they have these days.  I'll hijack your computer and make you pay to get it back.  Ridiculous.

    More likely that it is the printer driver supplied by the printer manufacturer that is at fault.

    Doug’s solution did not work for me either.  I ended up creating a document template that placed my retrun address in the right place and fields for the addressee in the correct place.  It works fine, just a little more cumbersome.

    I was having the exact same issue on my Mac and finally found an easy, semi-hidden solution.

    In the mailings tab, I started in Envelopes

    I left printing options set to "Use settings from your printer" (after spending an hour fumbling with the feed settings in the custom settings option

    In page setup, I used Envelope #10for paper size, with Landscape orientation

    Click Print...

    Set all print settings as you normally would for your envelope size (#10 for me)

    The solution for me was hidden in the paper handlingmenu and involved selecting scale to fit paper size, then changing the destination paper size to Envelope #10

    It seems highly redundant that you need to select this after selecting the paper size in page setup, but at least it solves the problem (in my case).

    Finally save all these settings as a print preset to avoid future headaches...

    Now it should print correctly on a center-fed envelope assuming you feed it in the correct orientation (might take trial and error). Screenshots of print window attached for reference.

    Hope this solves the issue for other Mac users in this thread as well!

    I'm having the same problem. Migrated from Word 2013 where envelope printing on my Konica Magicolor 1600w worked fine. Word 2016 aligns all envelope printing at the trailing edge of the page instead of the leading edge, which only works if your envelopes are 11" long. Otherwise printing is misaligned and some of the printing, like the return address is cut off. 

    I've been through all the setting and adjustments and can't find a fix for this. That it is happening on multiple brands and models of printers indicates it is obviously a defect in Word 2016 and needs to be submitted to development for remediation.
