Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Thank Rohn for the response! I laughed at the price comment. Needed that...

Well, I showed the support person the first link and she ignored me. I pointed out that she ignored me. and she said "This is what we're doing now." - (referring to remoting in) and she started to uninstall Office 365!!! hahaha. I stopped her, and that's when she sent me an email with a link. There was no key - clicked the link and am now stuck with Project Standard.

So what do you think I should do now? Go back to support again and explain to deaf ears? Or is there something else I can do?

I lost the web chat window, but have the chat from the remote session - here's a clip (edited for brevity):

10:21 PM weyland44: not to be too picky, but the version i have is project professional. :)

10:22 PM Roselyn: It's the same

10:22 PM weyland44: ok, i'm just confused as it says project standard there.

10:22 PM weyland44: you mean the product is the same?

    10:23 PM Roselyn: yes.

10:23 PM Roselyn: Bye for now. :)

She was in a hurry for some reason.

FYI: this is not "official" MS support.  Most of us are unpaid volunteers (who know more than average about various elements of MS ... )

Here is the Official MS Store page for Project:

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en\_US/cat/Project/categoryID.69407700

Apparently the only difference they identify between the versions is "team support" in Pro, and the minor issue of double the price ...

(The difference between Visio Std and Pro is more significant to individual users)

As I understand the offer you should have been given the key for Pro, so don't use the key, waste $600 more of your time to get the pro version ... Here are the links to the "official" notices on the free upgrade offer:

    Hello Microsoft,

I'm having difficulty as well. I have my Project Professional 2013 key here and office 365 and have been working with support to try to solve the issue. At first, she was VERY hesitant to help me until she remoted in and saw me start this reply.

She got me an email allowing me to install - but she gave me Project Standard 2016. When I asked her about it, she said it was the same and left. :)

Is it the same? If so, I'm good to go. But I find it difficult to believe it's the same.

I just want this to work - as I'm taking a project management course as well as managing a dozen important projects for my business - please advise.

Hi I have the same issue, when installed Office 2016, Visio and Project 2013 were removed.

    Can you help me, please.

    Regards,

    Júlio Gulias
