Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

    OK.  So today I did the same process I did last week, and 30 minutes later I had a new copy of Visio 2016!

    I used the link shown in these posts for the upgrade (I even posted the link in my initial chat session).  I took just a few minutes to record and get my emails to download the Vision 2016 copy.

    I don't know what happened in a week's time but I am finally back in business with my Visio.

    Thankful for the great, quick, help I received today.   Just not sure why this has been so difficult getting here.

    I will try this contact again.  The last time I tried the chat went to a phone call and then transferred twice, them a 20 minute conversation about how I should downgrade to Office 2013.

    it seems that there is some light on the horizon :)

    I´ve done as written here

    and contacted Microsoft via Chat. They called me via phone and we´ve talked about it. They told me that i´ll get an E-Mail with the needed informations which i has to reply on with the affected products with serial numbers and also the same amount of Office 2016 license Serial numbers. After that i should get the free upgrade.

    I´m now waiting for the mail.. i´ll keep you posted if you´re intested in!

    Rohn,

    I assumed you have read the threads.  One common theme is that we all got a run a round by Office Support.  I personally have already tried getting the "free upgrade" through the method stated on the website.  I don't want to repeat my experience in details again.  I spent 80 minutes on the phone and was transfer from Office support to Window Support to sales line.  Everyone I talked to denied the availability of free upgrade.  The options I was given is either downgrade back to Office 2013, which the Office tech was eager to do it remotely for me or buy the Project 2016 and Visio 2016 at small discount price.  When I asked to speak to manager, they hung me up, 2 times. 

    That was 5 weeks after the announcement of the free upgrade. 

    Can you blame me for being pessimistic on this whole thing?

    I am still write those letter and telling people don't buy Office 2016 until I see result.

    No word yet from Support.

    I've started the campaign to get the word out on this debacle. Hopefully the negative press will cause a reaction to the inaction.
