Microsoft Charge Taxes (VAT) but refuse to give a VAT invoice on payment of renewal

I have just had a very lengthy on line discussion (that was a complete waste of time) where I have requested from Microsoft.com,  a full VAT Invoice for a payment that I have made but have not received it apart from a receipt which is not an invoice with VAT etc. shown so I can claim my payment back.  

It is so difficult getting help from Microsoft  and the patronising words that are used is very infuriating - sentences like *"*Please forgive us for the inconvenience that this has caused you, but please do not worry, I will be happy to help you resolve this today." what is all that about it is like I am communicating with a computer - maybe I am.

How do I get a full invoice from Microsoft which includes VAT (taxes) - thanks

Hi

Microsoft do give VAT invoices but you need to be using the correct browser.

Make sure the browser you are using is either Edge or Internet Explorer and log into your account, select payments & billing, then the order you require a VAT receipt for, click on `details' under the total amount shown, then tax invoice and voila there it is.

    Hi, there is no "tax invoice" option showing after clicking on order details. I have opened this in Edge and Internet Explorer and the option doesn't appear. How do I get a VAT tax invoice ?

    The VAT invoice you provide does not have the requisite information such as your company name etc. on which are required for people running a business from home. A proper VAT invoice should be supplied. Can I have one please for my annual payment for Office 365 home and business?

    Nice theory, but doesn't work in practice.

    For some months, the "Tax invoice" link is present & works, but for other months it's not there.

    Flakey software presumably?
