Powerpoint will not scale properly on second monitor

Powerpoint refuses to scale properly on my second monitor and borders menu items etc. stay too big to operate efficiently. Word is working as it should and the menu items resize appropriately when moving from monitor to monitor. Is there a setting to fix this and make it behave like Word does?

    This works, not only for powerpoint but for Skype for Business, I assume that will work for other programs too.

    I have (as many others here) altered the manifest several times. This works after a fashion - I can use attached monitor as intended - but my laptop screen has a blurry version of the file that has been downres'd.

    Have Microsoft actually responded in any way to anyone on this post? I appreciate the solidarity of a group having the same issue, but I would like to think that a forum could prompt some focused action, as well as just flag the issue. This is not the SETI project, but 3years is a pretty long time for this post to be running with a single issue, when other Office products work well in the same environment.

    Can someone from Microsoft share an update on next steps?

    Here's hoping....

    Hi All,

    This problem is not only with powerpoint. It also occurs with internet explorer, snipping tool and some tool tips.

    Editing the .manifest file for powerpoint, while being a 'sort of' work around, does not fix these problems.

    I have just spent 4 hours on the phone to microsoft support with no resolution. I have 2 surface pro 4 computers using exactly the same version of windows 10 and office (Company image), one works fine and one has the problem. The computers were purchased at the same time so theoretically have the same hardware.

    I really wish ms would fix this problem, however I feel that either not enough people are reporting the problem or there are comparatively few people experiencing it.
