I am using Onenote and Powerpoint 2013.
I have selected under Advanced Options to split long print outs into individual notes in OneNote. This was working fine when i dragged PowerPoint presentations into onenote. The slides would get put into individual notes as i would expect as i had this option selected.
All of a sudden today, i dragged a powerpoint into onenote, and the slides all get lumped into one note. 119 slides all under the same note. I want them to go into individual notes as it did before. I went to options, advanced, turned the Printouts insert long printouts on multiple pages, off then tried again, then on and tried again, i tried rebooting, everything. It always comes back the same. No matter what i select, when i drag powerpoint into Onenote, it ends up all on the same page. I tried going to Powerpoint and selecting print to Onenote. I tried every option. Still same result, all slides end up in same page in onenote. What happened?
Any help would be appreciated.

Good news.
The latest update (June 2014 office update) change the behavior, it will insert long(more than 10) printout on multiple pages.
This is the most useful input thus far ^. I was the only guy in my class of 100 with a surface, many people asked me what it was and I even convinced a few to buy one. Bought it after I sold my MacBook Air. But I'm giving up on the whole Microsoft thing again. And telling everyone I know that the surface and one note was a mistake. On another note, the touchpad sucks so bad it really pushed me over the edge too. I know apple or Samsung will come out with a solid pen enabled device soon. Adios folks.
SP1 is the update that causes the problem. some poeple are able to delect the SP1 update on control pannel, while some people cannot because their software is downloaded from the internet. there is one way to get back to the older vesion of Office (the vesion before the SP1) ---by ordering a backup disc online and reinstalling the programme. it costs around 15 bucks. I just got my disc today. and the version on the disc is older than the SP1 version, so finally I got the 'print to multiple pages' function back. once i reinstalled office i immidiately disable the update function.
I have tried the following methods which did NOT work, so you guys don't need to waste your time.
1, seeking help from tech support
2, reinstalling the programe from the internet
3, restoring your system to previous dates. (after the restoration, office failed to work. My OS is win 7)
I want to stress the above 3 mothods are NOT successful, so don't try.

I am having the same problem. but I had that problem just a couple of days ago, longer after the update. When I check my control panel, i haven't had any update since 2013. my version of the programe is indeed higher than 15.0.4569.1506. adding blank pages does work, but it becomes difficult for PDF files, as you need an editor and it costs 500 bucks. most of my lecture notes are in the PDF formats. so the onenote is basically useless for me. I bought office 2013 just for onenote.
the tech support was hopeless. The first time I got cut off, the second time tech guy said he was not able to help me with problem because the problem was usage problem, then he pretended that the line was cut off and hung up. the third time, I got transferred multiple times and ended up with the American support team who said they were not able to help Australian customers and referred back to Australia. I really cannot believe that Microsoft customer service is that bad. i also tried the online chat support as well. I need to pay 150 bucks for one year subscription of tech support. I didn't go ahead with it and have found this thread. sorry to rent a bit. for those who try to contact tech support for this problem, save your breath. It seems that lots of people are really bothered by the problem and there are a few threads about the same problem.
