Excel 2013 Insert and Delete (column/row) grayed out for all workbook

Hello -

I have an odd issue.   No matter if it is a new or existing workbook my insert and delete row/column options are greyed out.   The workbook is not protected as this happens for even brand new ones as well.  I have searched and cannot locate a solution.

Just solved my own issue.

Had to delete the \Office\15.0\Excel\Options via regedit.

Problem resolved.

    Renaming Excel12.xlb to Excel12.old. Worked for me.

    Steps:

    1. Open Windows Explore and find for *.xlb.
    2. It will show Excel15.xlb or Ecel12.xlb based on the MS office that your computer using
    3. Select the file and right click on it, select option 'rename' from the pop-up window
    4. Change the file from Excel15.xlb to Excel Excel15.old

         (baliscally you've to change the file extension from .xlb to .old)

    1. Now you open a nex excel or an existing excel and try inserting. It should work.

    C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel

    I just renamed Excel15.xlb to Excel15.old, and finally restart Excel and it worked.
