I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

Hi Naman,

If you receive this error:

“Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4”

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

    I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

    Same problem here - does it have anything to do with the languages? My Office 365 is in Swedish and MS Project 2013 (causes the error code) is set to English?

    Both are 32-bit.

    How do I change language from English to Swedish or vice versa?

    News: I solved it by using the FixIt, linked in other posts in this forum, to uninstall Office 2013. It indicated that there were problems with "Microsoft Office

    Click-To-Run Suite is installed". I noticed the Click to run issue in Another installation I tried.

    Case closed - I'm happy.

    Hi

    I have the same problem.

    I have:

    • tried to repair former installation - didnt´t work (hang. no message)
    • removed my profile and made a new one  - didnt´work (hang. no message)
    • reinstalled the whole Office 2013 and added one exchange account - worked

     -added a second exchange account - didn´t work (got failure-message)

    Can I help with some additional info that you need to solve this problem?
