I just bought a subscription to Office 365 and entered my email and password for my Microsoft account and the program is telling me that it doesn't recognize that account, which is the only MS account I have and so definitely the one that I used to install the program for the trial period.

had to refresh computer made backup drive.  etc.......   went back in to his Microsoft account to re download hoe premium 365.  It has no record o purchase and no record found.   I had to go into the task manager settings and manually turn on all the programs again after just a refresh.   his is insane.  Microsoft acknowledges his account, but not the purchase I made three days ago and downloaded.  Its still in my program files.  I have all the ions but no payment method shows and wont reinstall word etc.  I have updated all the necessary Microsoft essentials etc.  22 to be exact.   I have no idea why it wont download,  the laptop is all windows 8 and I tried to download on both desk and touch.   Plus I (his wife) could have just shared with his computer since I have up to 5 computers to download o .........  Any ideas.   I give up and need word for my sons school.  any help is great  I am running internet explorer 10 and windows 8 operating system.

I received a download from Dreamspark, I downloaded Microsoft Office2007, and Visio 2013.  Visio comes up but ask for a Microsoft Account which I gave but like the above, I can't open Visio just the welcome page.  My Microsoft 2007 won't even open.

Please help me with my problem because I need both programs for my school work at ITT Tech.

    Respectively yours,

    James Johnson

I am having the same issue. I followed all the steps to set up an account, and I am not able to activate despite resetting passwords either. I continue to receive a pop up that states my password is not associated with the Office Product, My credit card account shows the purchase, yet I have not been able to activate any of the products I paid for.

I am also having the same issue, it is weird. I can use the product, but it is telling me that I need to purchase Office to "avoid an interruption in service."

I can't remember the exact message and it's no longer happening -- I no longer am given the option to log in. But it was something on the order of "this account is not the one you used to purchase Office 365" or "this is not the account Office 365 is registered under."

I have no additional Microsoft accounts. I only have one.

I have an old email address, and my PayPal account is still registered under that one. I used PayPal to buy a month's subscription. Could that be the source of the problem?
