I have a Logitech M500 mouse. This mouse has a mechanical mousewheel (the "ticking" kind), which can also be clicked from the sides to horizontally scroll. The great thing as that this works almost everywhere... In my browser, in Notepad++, basically almost everywhere as far as the programs go that I use. Except for Excel 2013.
Possibly related, it also doesn't work in regular ol' Explorer file browser windows. Not a bother, because I use Total Commander. But the horizontal scroll thing does work in Internet Explorer 10, which seems odd to me (same company behind Explorer and Internet Explorer, after all).
When I got the mouse, I did not install any drivers myself. I just connected the mouse and let Windows looks for and install proper drivers completely automatically. And since it works perfectly in the browser and my code editor, I figured the horizontal scroll function was working properly.
Is there perhaps some kind of thing that I need to do to make Excel recognize a horizontal scoll from the scrollwheel, or have I perhaps stumbled upon a bug?

I have confirmed it is a microsoft issue and global hotkeys, not a logitech issue. (I have experienced thissince Office 2010 with several microsoft keyboard and mouses along with logitech. Microsoft will not fix this, maybe because of too many people addressing it as mouse issue. I know for a media player with a similar issue there was a fix in windows registry to accept a different type something like a low level hook and I have a feeling it is a similar fix here.
Unfortunately I have same feeling. The this is my second high price mouse at the last 5 years. Usually I used for for the "no type" cheap Logitech mouse (probably it was the most cheapest mouse) for work. Than bought a new (probably one of the most expensive Logitech mouse) and I bought the newest Microsoft Office ... and together are no working. It is very sad for me. I am an engineer, I used all day my mouse and the office ...
I think I will write to Logitech. Maybe they will work with my problem. If they skip my letter, I never will by Logitech product. Unfortunately Office is the best, so I must use Excel for the future to.

Nobody respond.
I would like to kindly ask your help. I wrote my problem on 02.th of February 2017. We spent more than 6 weeks and my mouse not working jet.
