I cannot seem to find out whether I can add my own private domain, i.e. not a business user, but I own a personalised domain, with Office 365 Home Premium.
In other words, I would like to use ******@mydomain.com instead of ******@outlook.com.
I know you can do this with Office 365 for Business, but need to know whether this can be done with Home Premium.

I ended up signing up with an E3 enterprise account. This way I get a private email server and can then point my MX records at it. I think this is the minimum package that you can do this with. In total its $25.00 Canadian a Month. It worked well and was not too hard to set up but I Don't have enough need to spend at this level. I only wanted it so that certain websites that insist on haveing a "Businees" email which mean any thing but outlook.com or yaho.com or gmail.com.
I'm actually in the US. Thanks I will have a look in the product you mentioned, but I'm super annoyed this is not included in the PAID home subscription.
Put simply, I've given up waiting and have moved to Gmail for $5 AUD a month.
Literally took me one evening to set up GSuite, connect my existing domain through HTML <meta> tag verification, update the MX records and job done.
Microsoft seem to only care about the US market and only allow custom domains for a monthly fee on Outlook Premium which is only available in the US.
Australia obviously don't get the same treatment...
(Not to mention the fact the Outlook.com connector kept disconnecting week after week when polling my old Yahoo account. I set up a test Gmail account and it never disconnected once)
Same here, this is a joke. I'm an O365 admin and in MSDN. Sure I'd like to use office at home and subscribed to the test phase. Which I just removed the autorenew to not continue with a paid subscription.
In times where even my retired mom has her own domain this is stupid.
MS you just turn a former net promoter around to a demoter.
