I need to change the product key on a new installation of Office 2013 Home and Business. What is the procedure?

    Thankfully someone not from Microsoft was able to give us the easy answer to this. Thank you vft1963. Glad you were here to answer this massively simple question that nobody else was able to answer in an easy way.

    I think the command lines for the 32-bit and 64 bit are reversed. The 32-bit worked for the 64-bit Office on a 64-bit machine. Also, look at the directories - Program Files (x86) vs. Program Files.

    It can be done via the command line.  Open up a Command Prompt (Press the Windows Button and type CMD or navigate to All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt).  Then you just need to use the command below that matches your OS.

    For 32 bit Windows:

    cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /inpkey:yourkeygoeshere 

    For 64 bit Windows (assuming you are using 32 bit Office):

    cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /inpkey:yourkeygoeshere

    Obviously, you need to replace yourkeygoeshere with your product key.

    Note:  If you are installing a 64 bit version of Office on 64 bit Windows, the command for 32 bit Windows should be used (or just delete the (x86) part since it won't be installing to the C:\Program Files (x86)\ directory).

    I assume it was a 32 bit version - no idea, but it worked perfectly after mesing up my first attempt of installation............... thanks a lot

    This reports SKU not found.... So deosnt work!

    Remove and re-install office with the proper microsoft account no need to enter product key

    That doesn't work if you purchase two licenses. I purchased two licenses, and signed in with my microsoft account when purchased.

    First install on one laptop went fine. Second install on a different laptop used my sign in and automatically used the previous license key... So no answer here is very helpful. Nor is the licensing method used by microsoft. The only option i have is to call telephone support and give them the huge number over the phone, and try to explain to them that microsoft has punished me for buying two licenses and using my msn account...
