What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Most people on this thread agree that Windows Live Photo manager is a pile of **** compared to what they were needing to use Picture Manager for. This is hardly a "small change" for people that used Picture Manager on a daily basis.

    At least there is still an option to install the program again from either Office 2010 or as part of an older Sharepoint that is now free. I still shake my head in disbelief that Picture Manager was removed. What stupid idiot thought that was ever a good idea.

    I do not see the Windows Live Photo Gallery in my Office 2013.   Is it possible to download the Office Picture Manager from my Office 2007 disc on top of Office 2013?      Also, I do not like the new version of Access because you cannot view the charts and graphs.  Is it possible to install Office 2007 Access on top of the 2013?   I really do not like the changes to Outlook either, but I like some of the features they added to Office 2013.   I like the cloud capability and the updated features in Office 2013.  I just really do not like what they cut out of these programs to the point, I'd rather have the older version in some cases.   I really wish I could have purchased Office 2010.

    OR do you think they will be coming out with a patch to fix these issues?
