What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    I am finding this maddening!!! All I want to do is resize pics so I can simplify complex ones to use as borders with Publisher... Downloading more programs and fiddling around with installation and settings is driving me quickly nuts. I had one simple job to do and I don't have hours to search for a solution.

    Please can someone do something to help. It looks like I'm not the only one. The other frustration is I teach my kids this little trick and now they won't be able to do it. No way will the technicians at my school have the time to install across all our classroom laptops. Microsoft - why did you not only not replace something that wasn't broken but you basically deleted it.

    Argh

    Fully agree, my office has upgraded and we dont have a solution, considering reverting as our only option.

    if you don't want to lose the pictures you're editing DON"T download is **** software. Microsoft removed it because it has serious bugs and will cause you to lose your pictures when you try to save the edited picture. i'm still looking for something to replace Picture Manager but no luck yet. Boy is there a bunch of useless **** out there.
