exporting contacts FROM Outlook 365

I've worked as a computer consultant for 20 years. I have to say that Office 365 is the LEAST user friendly product I've ever seen. Impossible to do do simply things that in other products are intuitive. Right now I'm trying to export my contact list. When I search on this topic all the examples say something like go to OUTLOOK -> FILE --> OPTIONS --> ADVANCED.   After an hour of searching I dont find anything in outlook that says file . I find options but not Advanced and nothing else that leads to exporting

Hi Steve,

I will assist you with the query you have in exporting contacts from Outlook 365.

You may follow the steps below to Export the Outlook contacts:

Open Outlook, click File, Open and export and then click Export to a file.

Once you are in the import\Export window follow the on screen instructions to export the items from Outlook.

If you want to import the data into Outlook, then you may refer to the direction mentioned in the link below:

Note: Instead of Import, you need to look for the Export option in the above link.

    I agree with Yvonne.  Outlook continues to be a pain in the ear when it comes to exports, imports and the transfer of basic data between its various versions.  Outlook's worst enemy is Outlook rivaled only by the cocksure attitude of its "customer support" team.

    I went to the link and it was of no help either so best not to even suggest it as it just creates more frustration.  The simple answer is that it is not possible to export contacts from Office 365 web app.  End of story.  Microsoft needs to fix this especially when the export is to another Microsoft product.
