exporting contacts FROM Outlook 365

I've worked as a computer consultant for 20 years. I have to say that Office 365 is the LEAST user friendly product I've ever seen. Impossible to do do simply things that in other products are intuitive. Right now I'm trying to export my contact list. When I search on this topic all the examples say something like go to OUTLOOK -> FILE --> OPTIONS --> ADVANCED.   After an hour of searching I dont find anything in outlook that says file . I find options but not Advanced and nothing else that leads to exporting

Hi Steve,

I will assist you with the query you have in exporting contacts from Outlook 365.

You may follow the steps below to Export the Outlook contacts:

Open Outlook, click File, Open and export and then click Export to a file.

Once you are in the import\Export window follow the on screen instructions to export the items from Outlook.

If you want to import the data into Outlook, then you may refer to the direction mentioned in the link below:

Note: Instead of Import, you need to look for the Export option in the above link.

    this is so funny. I have the same issue. Outlook 365 is not the same as Outlook desktop. It has nothing to do with with PC/MAC.

    The guy that commented is on crack.

    Contact your admin and have them unlock the self export feature.

    I presume you meant the double chevrons in the top right hand corner, when I click on these they hide the reply, reply all and forward buttons.  I am not using a mac and I too have now spent 4 hours trying to sort this out.

    Like Steve I cannot find FILE and have successfully created CSV contact lists easily from 3 other email accounts.  I am only trialling 365 at the moment and it isn't going to well.

    If anyone can help I would be most grateful as I am trying to create an interactive form which picks up contact details.

    Hi Rich

    mac Scmack!  A web application is a web application.  Has Microsoft not tested Office 365 on Safari or other browsers?  Are you telling me that I have to use Windows IE to view my Office 365?
