Word keeps randomly switching to draft view when I have track changes on.

In Word 2010, if I am editing a document with Track Changes on in Print Layout view, it will randomly switch to Draft view, opening the comments pane (instead of having comments bubbles in Print Layout view). This is an annoying bug since I prefer the arrangement of information in Print Layout view compared to Draft view. Is there a way to prevent this automatic switching while still having Track Changes on?

I have been having the same problem, but disabling the Endnote addin fixes it.  Of course that is no real solution since you can't use Endnote in Review mode.  I'm running Windows 7 and Endnote 5x.  I put in a request with Endnote but if they don't fix it soon others should complained as well.

I have been having the same issue and can't seem to find a concrete resolution.  A few people in this forum say to change your cite while you write preferences to scan for temporary citations every 600 seconds and that way it will only switch every 10 minutes.  Haven't tried it so I don't know if it works or not.  

My Endnote plugin has "scan for temporary citations" off and it still happens. People in the thread tried to disable Endnote plugin and it did not help. When I have time I will try to remove Endnote completely and see if it helps.

Apart from Endnote, all other plugins are pretty standard - (1) Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin and (2) Instant Messaging Contacts (not even sure what program added it there and why).

Have you read through this entire thread? Have you checked the resources given and tried the things suggested?

How about any other Add-Ins? Several blue-tooth ones have lately been causing havoc for others.

Disabling the Endnote add-in definitely does not resolve the issue.
