Does Office 365 Home Premium come with ad-free outlook.com e-mail?

I'm seriously considering switching to Macs.

My main issue is I've own every version of Windows since Windows 3.11...

So that's MS Windows 95, 98, 2000, Good Old ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and currently 10. So that's 10 different OS Puchases.. And after double checking I've also had 9 different full MSOffices since 2000

so let's say the OS's are £100, and the Office's where £200. We'll that would mean I've already put in £2800.

This doesn't include my MS Visual Basic purchases, The upgrade packs Plus packs I believe) for 95, 98 and ME Edition. I could go on as I've spent thousands personally on Software from Microsoft, and now, since its Outlook now, not good old hotmail, I've got to pay more to get the ads out of my outlook account.

Several thousand of me, and yet I'm advertised at every time I check my emails.

Scrouge McDuck would be impressed.

But seriously, I'm considering switching to another OS, not just another email account, to get away from this practice. The software industry has really lost its grip of reality recently in my opinion. It's greedy, micro transactions such as the DVD player app in Windows 10 etc has become to much for me.

I buy an OS and now have to get the in app puchases to go with it too..?,.

I've already done this with Windows 7, when I had to buy media Center for £75 on top, then to only have it removed in 8!?? 

When I buy a game, it's the same, I get the game, then I've got to get the season pass, then the extra dlc, then the in game currency ?!?!!

Who remembers cartridges?

These practices are really making me thinking of switching to another OS, Office and Email provider too.

At least their I will be treated as I'd expect, and not have to play this guessing game.

Thats my main issue.

The business practices have put me off.

I know it's only another £20 a year, like my XBox Live has cost me £35 for the last 20 years too.

So much money, for so little. Do you blame me for looking to spend it elsewhere now..

think I'd be offered it. Or can I roll back from Outlook to Hotmail again as they never tried this crap back then..

I believe that this remains an issue and deserves to be further addressed by Microsoft.

I also believe there should be a way to vote/indicate that a so-called "solution" is not, in fact a solution for oneself.

Unless I am mistaken the whole world gets outlook.com webmail for free, and then if you subscribe to Office 365 you get ad free outlook in an app for your desktop/laptop + tablet + phone.

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks.

I believe the gist of my own and others' disappointment/outrage at this situation is that we believe that as Office 365 subscribers, we believe we are entitled to an ad-free version of outlook.com webmail--an improvement over what "the whole world gets...for free."

There are many situations where users can't or don't want to install Office 365 Outlook on a PC/Mac, and/or can't or don't want to install the apps on mobile devices.

One example for me is at work. I have regular (non-365) Office, provided by my employer, and I use the Outlook application for work-related email.

However, I don't want to (and probably can't, and probably could get in trouble if I did) add my personal email accounts to the Outlook application.

Therefore I read personal email in a browser using outlook.com, and would prefer not to see ads.

I continue to see this situation as unfair, and would prefer Microsoft to address it.

So if you don't like seeing adverts when you go and use the 'free to the world webmail' for the occasions when you are not using your own PC/tablet/phone, please pay for an additional subscription for an additional service.

I don't think Microsoft 'hates you', but I don't think they have been straightforward in their explanation, I sympathise to that extent. However I do not think you will find a better free email service / or paid productivity app solution.... but if you do please post back here to let us all know!
