How to change the theme of Office 2013

The most important reason that the themes are bad are for medical reasons.

They are designed by youngish American males with good eyesight.

Those of us getting older, or who have other eye problems, have difficulty using these themes. Glare and difficulty differentiating items on the screen makes for stress.

So we need to get official documentation saying that these themes are harmful to eyes. That will get Office disqualified from many governments and large companies. Without that, we won't get any change. They listen to money.

Second item, is both cultural and personal preference. Color choice affects mood. To many people and cultures, black and gray mean death, and are rather gloomy. Obviously, some like that choice, but many don't.

Microsoft and Windows used to be for customization for the user. It's lost that. It's forcing the taste of a few people on the masses, that's extremely arrogant.

Your focus groups must have been asleep.  You cannot even see what is highlighted or not when deleting, copying, etc.  You can't even see the scroll bars to move up and down an email in the viewer in Outlook.  The three offered themes are terrible, less terrible, and no difference!!  Too much white!  Cannot see grid lines or anything.  Rediculous, why is it that MS always makes each newer version harder to use and less user friendly?  The users should be running the show, not a bunch of developers imposing their will on the rest of us.  Office 2013 is worse than 2010, which was worse than 2007.  Please provide a patch to change from this white screen blaring in my eyes.  Please!!

Watching very closely? This mesage was from 2 and a half YEARS ago and no additional themes. How about someone get off their butt and add additional themes. The person who is currently NOT allowing themes to be added needs to be fired immediately, just for gross incompetence.

1. Vote with your wallet/IT budget 

Obviously, many companies and individuals are doing just that. 

Reported this quarter: "[Micro$oft] Revenue fell 5% to $22.18bn amid weak demand for its Windows operating system."

Perhaps poor financial reports will ultimately force MSFT to pay attention to its consumers. We can but hope. Companies who arrogantly ignore their customer base eventually always lose out. Ask the creators of Quark Xpress how that works. Once the premiere publishing program, used by anyone who took design & layout seriously, the makers stopped listening to their public and were displaced, in a very short period of years, by Adobe InDesign. Nowadays, most younger designers have never heard of Quark Xpress.

MSFT believe they are above such concerns. Clearly, they are not. Profits are falling...

Micro$oft! Sit up! Pay attention! Your present user interfaces for your latest O/S & all apps are ****!

Geez. My first Apple SE, *thirty years ago,*had a friendlier GUI.
