How to change the theme of Office 2013

What did you replace Office with at work? We're currently evaluating Google and they're REALLY compelling from a price perspective. Features are lacking on paper but in practice, I don't think they're missing anything we really care about.

Office 2013 is the ultimate disaster from Microsoft.  It is evident that they want to copy Apple with their IOS 7.  Windows 8 looks like a ripoff of IOS 7. They both look horrible.

The easy solution is to drop Windows and Office and opt for Linux and Open Office. MySql is there for database needs.

Being the Owner and CEO of a pretty good sized company, it was a fiscal relief to drop everything Microsoft and move to open source. Well almost, we did drop SQL Server and move to Oracle for the ERP system.

Windows 8 and Office 2013 was the last straw in an already frayed relationship.

Microsoft is no longer allowed in the company. They lost many dollars, well into 6 figures per year because of this.

I do keep my Windows 7 system at home, but like many others, I obliterated Office 2013 and replaced it with Office 2010.

Adios Microsoft.  There is a better way to go now.  You are obsolete.

As the audience for Office 2013 grows, we are being mindful of patterns and pain points that emerge from user feedback. While we do not have any additional Themes planned at this time, it is an issue we are watching very closely.

The three color themes are truly terrible, I am SO disappointed! They are way to bright and way too dull to have to stare at all day!!! Feels like I am strapped to a prison computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is as though developers sit around feeling that they have to change everything to try and remain cool with no regards to people that have to LIVE with the changes as part of their actual all day job! At least give me the option to choose my own tints and colors like Windows itself. Don't force me to use what you feel is cool!!!

My experience with M$ is that everytime they "improve" something it is a giant step back. And bugs never get fixed.

The Office 2013 is an example of the first. The Menus, and Ribbons look like someone tried to make the program useable by people with vision problems. These people need much more contrast than the pastels in Office offer. In the meantime we all have to suffer from huge fonts and unsaturated color choices that induce vomit.

The wonderful choice is the Auto hide ribbon. The moment one clicks on that choice the program window is maximized. Aaaargh!!!...
