How to change the theme of Office 2013

It seams that Microsoft is ignoring everyone's pleas for more theme options. I migrated to the Office 2013 this week and I am already regretting my decision... Office 2010 was wonderful, but this excuse of a product is simply awful to put it mildly... I am going to roll back to 2010 as I cannot take this anymore! Microsoft is taking a "watch & see" approach in opposed to a actually correcting a horrible mistake! If they valued us as customers, they would have addressed this issue in the trail stage! Now, we have to nag them to correct their mistake! Com'on, we are living in the area that any app, programme and interface can be changed! Microsoft simply doesn't care about the needs of the consumers in this regard; they already achieved market monopoly where the Office package is concerned and frankly, they couldn't be bothered in giving us a better product or they would have done so already!!!

Come on Microsoft, put your money (in this case - our money) where your mouth is and give us a better Office 2013! Just look out, Apple might see a gap here and actually give us what we are asking for!

While we do not have any additional Themes planned at this time, it is an issue we are watching very closely.

I gave Microsoft feedback a long time ago when I was testing the Preview version of Office 2013. I told Microsoft that the new white theme is terrible, and it strains my eyes. I understand they were trying to minimalize it a little bit, but the outcome is plain ugly. Buttons seem to run together. The change in 2007 from gloss to matte was great, and everything looked clean. Everything was eye pleasing and easy to find.

In my feedback, I said that Microsoft needed to add a black color scheme like in Office 2010. Well, they basically ignored my feedback (the dark gray is still very light), and now people are staying with  or reverting back to 2010, including myself. They still need to add a black theme as soon as possible (or change the light gray theme to the current dark gray theme and extremely darken the current dark gray theme). They should also add some themes with color to go hand in hand with Windows 8, or add an option for Office to match your system's window color that is set in Personalization.

I meant to say the change in 2010 was great. Also, I forgot to add something else. What is up with the ALL-CAPS in the headers? I know it's supposed to be Metro, but take it out. It makes the interface even more ugly. It is a fact that words in all-caps are harder to read.

If you want to rename the all-caps tabs to mixed case, the trick is to put a space at the start of the renamed tab. Try it, and you'll like it!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if users could choose between a nice selection of vivid colours? After all, the new MS logo is BLUE! Why do we get such a vivid choice of system colours during a new Win 8 Pro installation, then get the new Office 2013's dull, dull greys or eye-tearing white? Don't the Windows development team talk with the Office team?

My guess is that MS will roll out a better colour selection in the first Service Pack.

Thanks Michael. But that is the problem!  The three themes are virtually the same and provide very little improvement to the pale and bland appearance of Office 2013 programs on-screen.
