Mail Merge with Excel Charts

HI,

I need to execute mail merge with excel charts, there are 100+ records in excel.

Based on certain data field i need to create a pie chart.

Using mail merge i am expected to have different pie chart for each record

Is their any way to create this functionality in office 2010 ???

Download the MergeTools – 20120609 Add-in that I created from the following page of my Windows Live SkyDrive:

and also the Mail Merging with Charts document that is also on that page. That document explains how you must set up the Excel Data Source and the Mail Merge Main document to be able to execute a merge with a Chart that is unique to each record in the data source.

Hi Doug,

I have been successful with having the chart merge work for the chart but the additional merge fields in the document are being populated with "Error! No Document variable supplied."... eventhough they are visible and populated correctly when previewing results.

Suggestions appreciated.

I agree.. this tool looks as though it will do what I need if only it would work.. I am working with office 2010, I have setup my documents & excel just as described, however I am getting errors when I run the tool, what could possibly be wrong.

Hi Doug,

This tool looks the have the exact functionality I need to generate individual reports of health tests for a series of people. (ie. every person would get a customized report with the numbers of their test and a chart graphing their personal test results).

I am running MS Office 10 and have set up of both Excel and Word files as specified in the skydrive files - (which seems to work well - get the updating charts etc). I've downloaded installed the Word add-in which brings up the the Merge tools Tab and the ribbon options apear.

However when I try to run the Chart Merge function off of the Merge Tools ribbon, I get a compile error. "Compile Error in Hidden module: ModMergeChart". I get this same error with all of the other buttons. Is there something I am doing wrong on the install of the add-in?

I'd love to be able to use this tool, so any help would be extremely appreciated.
