Other than cropping, I was able to use edit wrap points to edit pictures to get just a portion of the object. How does this work in Publisher 2013?

Unless the freehand shape is an option, the function has not evolved well. **In previous versions, the portion of the image outside of the wrap points was not visible.**This is a function I use daily and will have to find an alternative now.
In addition to JimenezOlga's answer the cropping function in Pub 2013 has evolved.

I've used cutepdf writer for years and it works great for my needs. I design in Publisher then convert with that & send off to the printer. So far, so good... The only reason I've upgraded to Pub 2013 from 2010 is to use Office 365, which now I'm not so sure it will be necessary. It sounds like it will be more work and not really worth it. I wanted to share my files with my husband so he could also work on the designs. Also, it seems to take a very long time to save my files in OneDrive. Sigh...

I can't thank you enough for the info on primo, etc. I have to do interactive vet hospital forms so that's what I mostly used adobe acrobat pro for, not wanting to use their online form maker, so I had it and just used it for my publisher pdf's as well. Had some problem with the MS built-in PDF maker, but will test it again. But definitely will check out primo. Thank you -- you are solid gold! Really appreciate all of your help and advice!!! I'm reading primopdf publisher's site, Nitro, and there have been reported problems with Nitro conversion of MS Publisher files, in particular. Their recommended fix was to convert doc to picture file, which I'd rather not do since I'm sending it for commercial printing. May try it anyway, but wanted to thank you again for the advise. Don't confuse the paid version of Nitro Pro with the free primopdf version. I am not sure what you are reading but I have never had a problem converting any Publisher file or any file from any program that I can print using primopdf and I have been using it for years. That is part of the reason I use it so much. In fact I rarely use the Office pdf tool. I also like the ability to append pdf files which I cannot do with the Office pdf tool. Read the documentation available on the website.
The only thing I would caution you about is to always do 'custom' installs for this and all freebie utilities and never do the default or standard. Then read carefully each screen and opt out of the extra toolbars and junkware that can sometimes come with these utilities. I also always go through the settings and always opt out of 'calling home' and auto-updates. If I need or want to update I will do that manually.

Oh sorry, I thought primopdf and Nitro Pro were the same. Thanks for all great info. I'll definitely download primopdf and carefully avoid all the extraneous toolbars and things they slide in.
