Error 1920. Service osppsvc failed to start

I obtained Microsoft Officew Professional Plus 2010 for home use via the Home Use Program. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. When I try loading Office I get the following error message:

Error 1920. Service 'Office Software Protection Platform' (osppsvc) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

I have administrator privileges on my computer. So I need help resolving this issue.

Open Run (Press Windows key + R) > type services.msc and click on OK

On the services MMC window right-click on Office Software Protection Platform and select Properties

Select the LOG ON tab > change the ‘Log on as’ information from ‘This Account’ (Network Service) to ‘Local System Account’

Click on Apply and OK

Check for existing office software protection platform service (OSPPSVC.EXE) service running the system with different service name. If so stop service and start the installation. It should go through.

Right Click on My Computer->Manage->Local Users and Groups->Groups->Administrators

Right click->Add to Group, Click on Add, then Advanced, then Find Now and select Network Service, then OK, OK and you're done.
