Hiii... I saved a document on my computer and when I tried to re-open it, just couldn't... I found this error message: The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag. Location: Part:/word/document.xml, Line: 2, Column:646910. I already tried to open the file with notepad but i dont understand anything that appears there... i only get nonsense letters and symbols... :s Can anyone help me pleasee??? I believe the 13th <mc:AlternateContent> tag had no close. I manually added the closing tag and was able to open the document without further repair.

I heartily recommend that you seriously proofread this repaired copy for lost content before submitting to your client or boss.

If I remember correctly, the problem with your DOCX was an oMath mismatch. You should try the fix available here,

You receive an "end tag" error when you open Word 2007 or 2010 files

... How do you fix it?

If you make sure that your Office software suite has all applicable service packs and other updates applied, the instances of this problem are greatly reduced.

    I tried your link again and it was working. The site site wanted to put a virus on my computer, but I bypassed that and got your DOCX file. I've uploaded a repaired copy to my non-infectious SkyDrive here.

    I've edited your original posting to remove that public file area. One misplaced mouse click and I've pretty sure you would have a computer infection.

    That link is not working.

    The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

    Could you try again to post the corrupt file into a public access file download location like Microsoft SkyDrive, 4Shared or Uploading and post the location back here. If possible, a copy of the file that has not already been subjected to repair attempts stands a better chance of recovery.
