Hiii... I saved a document on my computer and when I tried to re-open it, just couldn't... I found this error message: The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag. Location: Part:/word/document.xml, Line: 2, Column:646910. I already tried to open the file with notepad but i dont understand anything that appears there... i only get nonsense letters and symbols... :s Can anyone help me pleasee??? I believe the 13th <mc:AlternateContent> tag had no close. I manually added the closing tag and was able to open the document without further repair.

I heartily recommend that you seriously proofread this repaired copy for lost content before submitting to your client or boss.

If I remember correctly, the problem with your DOCX was an oMath mismatch. You should try the fix available here,

You receive an "end tag" error when you open Word 2007 or 2010 files

... How do you fix it?

If you make sure that your Office software suite has all applicable service packs and other updates applied, the instances of this problem are greatly reduced.

    The archive structure of the DOCX had suffered a catastrophic corruption but I managed to recover the first eight pages. The recovered portion of the DOCX is available here.

    FWIW, This level of corruption is typical of working to and/or from a portable media storage device like a memory stick, thumb drive or flash card. If this was the case, always work from your local HDD and transfer the file to the removable media after it has been saved. You might recognize the last recovered paragraph as being the area that you were last editing (or very close to it).
