Removing Copilot from Outlook email

UPDATE 28Apr2025: I renewed and changed my subscription to Microsoft Personal Classic and that *seemed* to eliminate Co-Pilot. For how long? Who knows? But at least now its no longer showing up on my emails. Thank you to everyone who shared my frustrations and who offered suggestions.

How do I remove Copilot from my Outlook email (and all other applications for that matter)? I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro. I use Outlook (Hotmail account) and all of a sudden CoPilot has appeared when I start writing or replying to emails. I do NOT want it. I do NOT need it. It is VERY distracting and I want to disable and/or remove it. Any advice would be most appreciated. I tried searching online but could not find a suitable answer. Thank you.

I do not know if I have the New or Legacy Outlook.

Used feedback but see no changes. However, I see more angry people.

Question regarding copilot. During this time, it's being forced upon us. So, is Copilot feeding all our years of emails to its AI too increase its Matrix of knowledge without our permission?

How can I stop it from using previous emails to "HELP" us??

    Turn Copilot Off...

Are we stupid if we keep using the program? When windows 95/MS Office ruined WordPro and Netscape we (users) were the culprits. Saw live Bill Gates in Las Vegas 2004 laughing at that question with that answer.

Is this a similar case? Is my only option to stop using Outlook/Hotmail...?

Can I empty all my old emails before they are scanned for your company's use? Where do you suggest I post this question?

So, I let copilot do it's "thing" on a simple email I received this morning. It literally stated exactly what the email stated - no more no less. Useless....

Totally agree this is an unwarranted intrusion into my privacy. I don’t want it, didn’t ask for it and summarising a three line email is hardly intelligent! My Microsoft 365 subscription ends in May and unless copilot is user removable on all platforms by then my subscription will not be renewed

I HATE COPILOT! When trying to use Outlook webmail it keeps getting in the way and distracting me from working.

I understand that Microsoft has spent a lot of money developing it, and wants users to engage it to recoup some money but honestly all it is doing is driving me to anyother email client :-<

Does that work if you use the web based outlook.com email?

If it works, why didn't Microsoft Support know about it?

I'm going to give it a try, right after I verify copilot it still stalking me.
