REMOVE COPILOT FROM OUTLOOK

In my outlook app on iPhone as well as in de desktop version of Outlook there is a pop-up of Copilot 'summary' on EVERY email I open.
It's annoying the **** out of me and I want to get rid of this ai-function that I never asked for.
I have Microsoft 365 family.
In settings on the app as well as desktop version there is nothing to be found to remove this.
Where do I get rid of this **** function?

    If you go to your subscription, choose manage, and then choose cancel, it will give you the option of choosing Microsoft 365 Family CLASSIC (also works for individual accounts). These are the versions that don't include Copilot. Just did it myself.

    I downgraded but it says it won't go into effect until my account renews, which isn't for 6 months. How do I get this to change immediately?

    Christine, This did it!!! Actually, I clicked on the link at the end, "change your privacy settings......."

    Here is what I found: Go to settings, Privacy and Data, Privacy, Connected Experiences. There are two boxes you can check on or off. Neither of them specifically say "Copilot", but it stops Microsoft from giving automatic suggestions. The copilot seems to be embedded in that and is gone from emails now.

    I hope the others see this and it works for all of you, too.

    Found this, it may help...

    There is a separate Enable Copilotcheckbox in each app and the checkbox only applies to that app on that device. For example, if you want to turn off Copilot in Word and PowerPoint, you need to go to both apps and clear the Enable Copilot checkbox. If you have multiple devices, you need to go to each device and clear the Enable Copilot checkbox for each app. Also, turning off Copilot on a device turns off Copilot for anybody using that device.

    As of January 16, 2025, the Enable Copilot checkbox is available in the following apps:

    • On Windows: Version 2412 of Word
    • On Mac: Version 16.93 of PowerPoint and Word

    If you don't see the Enable Copilot checkbox in the app, check which version of the app that you have. If necessary, update your versionof the app on your device.

    We're working on adding the Enable Copilot checkbox to Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint on Windows devices and to Excel on Mac devices. That is tentatively scheduled to happen in February 2025. In the meantime, you can change your privacy settings to turn off Copilot.

    Yup, I'm out of clues. No options to be found anywhere within Outlook Mail settings. I've looked through all of that several times.

    I don't know who comes up with this stuff and then in the second place doesn't even think about giving people an option to shut it off.
