I hate the New Outlook

This is the worst update. I have so many email addresses. For work, personal, parents I care for. I can't link to one mailbox, I have to check each and every one. You get no notification. And to make matters worse, they now make it harder to switch back. You should be entitled to choose which app we prefer, not forced upon us!

I have tried and tried to like it, but it just doesn't work for me. Why wouldn't you take ALL the features and simply add even better ones. I can't get one notification for an email received, I have to click on each email address, go to the inbox and then see. It is so time consuming! Surely SOMEONE is listening to our peeves!

New Outlook is absolute garbage. Email groupings make you miss emails, not receiving the correct notifications, can't choose your inboxes as easily, the colors are distracting, can't see attachments, it's like time traveling back to the 90s version of a website. My old outlook is now crashing and i am being forced into using this hot garbage product. Extremely disappointed in how unprofessional new outlook is compared to the classic.

Why are we forced to use the new outlook if it is still in development?

We have work to do and do not need this learning curve.

    Hi

I am an Independent Advisor, trying to help other users in the Community with my experience in Microsoft products. Please note that I am a user like you and don't work directly for Microsoft.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue and I hope the following suggestion will work in your case.

The New Outlook is still in development by Microsoft and unfortunately, there are some issues with the New Outlook app while new features are added.

You can find all the expected dates in this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Outlook%2CDesktop%2CWeb&searchterms=New%2COutlook

Should the issue you experience impact you, I suggest you revert to the Classic Outlook.

You can set a registry key to hide the New Outlook switch and to switch back to classic Outlook if the option doesn't show in new Outlook.

Diane Poremsky posted the instructions here:

https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/classic-outlook-not-new-outlook/ Disclaimer: The link included is a non-Microsoft website that would provide accurate and safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that are frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). There is no need to buy paid products to fix your computers as they sometimes do more harm than good.

Please let me know if that helped.

    Regards

    Casper
