I just came on to the Microsoft hosting for my work emails. I have my emails from the previous hosting as a pst file. The new outlook is not showing me an option to import these into my account

Oh I know that but my issue is with Outlook (new) app opening PST file which is not available without correct account/mailbox added into the app. I'm a mail administrator and I'm trying to keep up with the latest tech, Outlook (new). Just trying to see what works and what doesn't. Outlook (new) app clearly has a lot of problems.
All sorted by setting up two outlook files. Classic and New
I have a spare Windows 11 Pro laptop to play with. Outlook (new) is already setup to access my work mailbox (hosted on Exchange). PST option is grayed out (Outlook Data Files support is not currently available on this device).
Then I added my hotmail/outlook account. Microsoft genius developers think it's a great idea to send a code to that same mailbox I'm trying to add into the app.
I clicked Send code and check my hotmail mailbox through my Outlook app on the phone. No email. Click Send code again once more, nothing, nada... I know what you're thinking... check Junk folder, right? Nope, nothing there either. Tried Advanced Setup... same thing, it prompts me to send a code to the mailbox I'm adding and no codes are sent. Genius.
No wonder so many hate Outlook (new) app. It's broken in so many places.
Understood and thanks. If I get any further data in the issue, you'll be the first to know
