I AM NOT GETTING THE SOUND NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN :( This is after my pc was updated (microsoft windows). It also is affecting my fingerprint sensor. It does not work anymore. I have to login by typing my PIN :(

HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours

I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.
I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.
I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

Just tested and this worked for me, ironically I had JUST found another fix by using Firefox with an Notification Sound add-on by freaktechnik, but I would prefer not to use an add-on so THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I am an admin at a company and found the issue in the service health of the ms365 admin portal. I am having the same issue including teams notifications and calendar notifications not dinging, so waiting for a patch just like everyone else.
Experiencing the same issue as the original user Aug 15th, 2024 and still having this issue as of Aug 21st, 2024. have tried every method to fix it under the sun with no change. Cleared the cache and cookies, updated chrome, checked all notifications on all platforms were turned on (Outlook, Chrome and on my Mac) I do not have "do not disturb" on, I have refreshed and restarted everything.
Using this for work for 3 years with absolutely no problem and now theres nothing to do to fix it?
Working within short turn arounds and not knowing you have emails is extremely frustrating. Please advise for all of us!
This does not help my issue specifically; I've been without sound in my Outlook for a month. From all of these replies to this thread, it seems like I'm not the only one.
PLEASE get back ASAP with real solutions.
