A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.
Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

I appreciate the tip @FuzzMunk. Unfortunately, this workaround would be too error prone to train people on. We need a proper fix from Microsoft on this.

This is being treated like an annoying UI issue. THIS IS A SECURITY ISSUE.

But hey, it's actually not needed , like the taskbar in windows 8.
This issue is absurd and dangerous. Link hover-over is the first thing I check on any even slightly suspicious email. It's like MS is trying to let people get scammed with malware, etc. So many frustrating and puzzling changes that seem to make windows seem less safe to me.
I'm stopping using Outlook and going back to browser based inbox until this issue is fixed.
Any updates on this? Microsoft should be treating this as an urgent security patch. This is absolutely ridiculous that a glaring security issue like this exists in the Outlook software that is used by millions of companies around the world. Absolutely no excuse for this kind of negligence on the part of Micro$oft.
